Previous Service: 2023 Treasurer, 2024 Vice President Ever since childhood, I’ve always had a fascination for airplanes. I remember my dad taking me every chance he had to see airplanes take off and land at Miami International Airport. That memory always stuck with me until I made the decision to jump into the rc hobby. As a heavy equipment technician, I was first inclined to surface models, mainly road racing models. Quickly growing tired of racing rc cars, the only choice left for me, was to follow my passion for airplanes. It took me buying a small radio-controlled Piper Cub to get bit by the rc flying bug, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. My passion has become an addiction, which I don’t plan on kicking, either. It’s a privilege to share my passion with the wonderful members at AMPS RC Club.

Previous Service: 2018-2024 President Joined AMPS in or around 1993 where I learned to fly RC and have been a member ever since. Enjoy building and flying giant-scale models. Have served the club in various capacities and am proud of our great club.

Previous Service: 2018-Present – Secretary My father and I have spent most Saturdays together flying and sharing the hobby for the last 28 years. I have been flying Rc since 1990. Being from the joystick generation, I was essentially a solo pilot on the 2nd flight. The old guy that was teaching me got tired of landing for me after about 10 flights and the rest is history. I flew in my first IMAC competition when I was 13 and won Basic with my Sig Kougar. Over the next few years I taught many people to fly at Markham Park. Around 2010 I discovered scale Rc and fell in love with scratch building and flying giant scale planes. I have also found a home on RCSB.com sharing my builds with others from around the world.

I started building balsa planes as a kid. 50 years later the kid is still building and flying, and now into scale jets. Over the years i have been fortunate to make many friends in the rc community, particularly at AMPS. I feel honored to be able to contribute to the continued improvement of our club.
