Civil Air Patrol Cadets Camp
out at AMPS Silver Field
A group of cadets from the
Civil Air Patrol Tamiami
Squadron spent the weekend
at AMPS Silver Field. They
arrived Friday afternoon and
left Sunday morning. They
set up their tents in the
old parking area and used
our main shelter as base of
operations. During the
weekend the cadets conducted
search and rescue exercises
on the tall grass west of
the field. They also
intended to conduct some
flying experiments but the
high winds were not
conducive to it. They all
had a great time and we hope
to see them again soon.

A reminder from the
Board of Directors - Guest

Guest fliers must be
pre-registered in order to
fly a our field. If you want
to bring a guest pilot to
the field, you must contact
one of the board members
(Vicar,
Butch,
Chris or
Mauricio)
and make sure that your
guest is registered. Failure
to do so will result in a
field rules violation and
could jeopardize your
membership. As always, your

Special
message from the Board of
Directors - Courtesy to
field workers
There will be no flying of
model aircraft while the
runways are being mowed.
When you see the mower on
the runway, all flying is to
stop. The person doing the
mowing should not have to
ask any pilot to stop flying
in order to mow. The mowing
personnel has been
instructed to fill out
grievance forms against any
person who does not
cooperate. |
