Membership Details
In order to become an AMPS member you must first
be a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA).
After joining the AMA you can apply for one of the
following memberships levels:
- Open Member - Adult - 19 years of age and older - $100.00 per year
- See prorated fees table below
- Junior Member - Up to 18 years of age - $1.00 per year PROOF OF
AGE REQUIRED
- Non-Resident Member - $25.00
per year Non-voting member living outside of the
Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe, and Palm Beach
Counties PROOF OF RESIDENCY REQUIRED

Proof of AMA membership is required every year
for AMPS membership renewal. All AMPS memberships
expire December 31st and are renewable during the
month of December. The
Club Field Rules must be adhered
to when using the club flying field. New members are required to read and understand these rules before joining the club.
All new members are required to perform at least
one (1) day of Club service during their first year
of membership. The Initiation Fee ($100.00) will be
refunded, or applied towards the second year of
membership, upon completion of the one (1) day of
Club Service.
Our club is very proud to offer flying instruction as part of its membership benefits. If you require this service, a flight
instructor will be assigned to you. It is very important that you understand that this service is contingent upon instructor workload
and that instructors are volunteers and may not be available at all times. Applicants requiring flight instruction may be
wait-listed until and instructor is available.

The Membership applications below include the applications form, field rules, the Request, Release and Waiver of all
Claims Agreement (required for for all new
members) and the Check Pilot Form
(required for membership if you already know how to
fly). Please print it, read it and submit
the completed forms with your payment.

regulations, sign the Request, Release and Waiver of all
Claims Agreement (appropriate to you age group)
and the Check Pilot Form (if you already know
how to fly) and return them with you
payment to Aero-Modelers of Perrine, 6925 SW 65th
Ave, Miami, FL 33143 and begin enjoying the benefits of being and
AMPS member.
