Sunday, July 20th, 2008 - AMPS Silver Field - The
Tradition Continues. For the last several years our
club has gathered every summer to celebrate the
club's anniversary, the 4th of July and our common
interest of flying model airplanes. This year we
came together once again. Many of our members and
their families congregated at the field where under
a beautiful summer day we flew our airplanes, shared
stories and most important, ate a great lunch.
This year, Jaime Cuesta, AMPS member and
owner/chef of El Polar Restaurant in Coral Gables
(Douglas Road and SW 27th Street) prepared a
tremendous feast. Stuffed roast pork leg, BBQ ribs,
roasted chicken, rice and beans, salad, yuca and all
the trimmings. If you were there, you know what I
mean when I say it was delicious. If you missed it,
shame on you! Thank you Jaime. |
