AMPS member rescues stray dog at the field

Alexis Diaz, a Junior AMPS member and daughter of Dr Jerry Diaz (Veterinary), has rescued the dog that many of you saw at the field for a couple of weeks. Jerry tells us that Alexis would not allow the dog to be picked up by Animal Services and convinced him to pick it up and take it to Briarwood Animal Hospital (Jerry's clinic). Alexis is seriously considering on following her father's footsteps and become a large animals veterinary.

Jerry tells us that "several tests later (and to my surprise) the dog is actually quite healthy just showing the signs of starvation and abandonment. She is about 4 years old and orthopedically fine!

The prognosis is excellent that she will be a beautiful black German Shepherd dog. In about 4 - 6 weeks she will need a home. If you know of anyone interested please advise. She comes complete with all routine veterinary services covered for life!"

If you are interested in adopting this dog please contact Jerry Diaz at Briarwood_vet@bellsouth.net or at (305) 665-9400
